Prison is a better option
When you walk through the doors and enter the foyer you can be forgiven for thinking that you are in prison. The ambiance of the building could not be more unwelcoming, long bland corridors leading to other bland corridors without anything that helps you to be oriented. No colour, no pictures, a notice board just for sovereign covered with out of date covid information. Residents would love taxi numbers, bus timetables etc. No activities arranged..not even a coffee morning. No staff available at all and if you do manage to contact anyone you receive no help at all. Bullying and abuse by some residents is rife and not a thing is done to help the vulnerable, if family members try to intervene sovereign tell them to desist. The grounds are unkempt and areas of grass are so long residents have fallen.
