Sheltered Housing & Accommodation Cockermouth

Cockermouth is a market town in Cumbria, located close to the Scottish border. It has a rich history, with evidence of human settlement going back to the Iron Age. Notable landmarks in the area include the ruins of Cockermouth Castle, built in the 12th century, and the Saint Michael’s Church dating back to the 14th century. The town also boasts a number of cultural attractions, such as The Wordsworth Trust, a literary centre dedicated to the poet William Wordsworth. Retirees or older adults are drawn to the town because of its relaxed atmosphere and stunning scenery. Cockermouth offers a range of senior housing options, good healthcare facilities, and a number of community events, such as the annual Cockermouth Festival, which takes place every June. There are also plenty of walking and cycling routes to explore, and the local shops and cafes provide plenty of opportunities for socialising.
